It was one of those nights... I took my wife to smash burgers for dinner which meant we needed a dessert place to stop off at before we headed home and a quick Google recommended The Choc Pot as a well-rated dessert venue within proximity to where we were... The Choco Pot is located off the main road under a newly built building along the railway. Unfortunately, situated next door to them is the big chain Oliver Brown... but in saying that, this place held it's own.
We struggled to find a seat as the turnover was a bit slow... it was great place for couples as the seating is quite limited.
We ordered their Signature The Choc Pot, which is basically a eruptive lava of hot chocolate from a chocolate fondant, paired with some strawberries. It does take 10 minutes to create your order...
We also ordered their Red Velvet Hot Chocolate which is made with creamy Jersey Milk, a mix of dark and milk Belgium melted chocolate and topped with cream cheese whipped cream... umm I do notice that we didn't get that in our order as pictured...not that we noticed it at the time... but at the time we did feel like something was missing...
We loved their Signature, The Choc Pot.... it was made very well. Every bite was worth the wait... Unfortunately the Red Velvet Hot Chocolate wasn't as fantastic as something you'd get in Max Brenner... but on a plus side the serving was massive...
If you're looking for a fantastic little cafe serving decent sweets without the noisy/super busy environment... then I'd highly suggest giving this place a try...
