I
came in and decided to make my own pizza rather than choose the
pre-made stuff. Normally I wouldn't and actually frown on the practice
of letting the customer decide as this can just end up being a horrible
concoction which is the result of the customer. I ended up seeking
assistance and they were more than happy to help. My pizza comprised of
Peri Peri Base (for the chilli factor), Mozzarella Di Bufala (from
Naples Italy), Hot Sopressa, Cherry Tomatoes and some Basil. I loved the
fact he didn't try to up sell me on more toppings. I wanted something
simple where I can enjoy the Bufala.
The pizza was cooked very fast (2 minutes flat) and to perfection. I still felt like there was a bit too much base but that comes down to preference. The toppings combined well and the peri peri was subtle but had a nice lingering kick. I was expecting the cheese sensation to be creamier or the flavour to be more bold. I kinda wanted to relive a similar moment like the one from Pizzaperta.. .. but anyways overall a decent pizza. Though I'm a bit undecided was it really worth the $17?
This
tiny pizza place in The Hamlet has won the hearts of many. During my
eat-in stay, I watched many people buy their pizza to takeaway.... and
lots were definitely returning customers. Would I return again solo...
probably not... but if people from outer town wanted a pizza joint to
visit... I'd definitely spread the name for 10" Custom.
