It was one of those lazy Sundays and we decided to give Grelha a try as it was nice and local. I've been meaning to try this for a while as I've seen them advertised in Menulog.
My wife went for their Simply Chicken Burger - Grilled Chicken, Mixed Leaves, Tasty Cheese with America's Popular Mayo and Grelha's Homemade Chilli. It sounded like a pretty safe option... something you'd find in most Portuguese Chicken Burger joints. Unfortunately the chicken was dry and just overall there was not enough sauce to mask it. I did however enjoy the sensation of their homemade chilli sauce... just wished there was more of it. The burger reminded me of something you'd get at Oportos.
I ended up opting for their Signature Wrap - Mixed Herb Lamb Kafta Tabouli, Hot Chips, Garlic Sauce and Hot Chilli. The wrap had some nice flavours and worked well with the hot chips in it. The sauce yet again lacked and it was a bit on the dry side. At least it all came out piping hot.
This small burger bar really doesn't really shine in terms of service, food or value. It's really the only one in the area especially with it's neighbouring stores predominately Asian influenced. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but would probably try again if there was a voucher.
