Gyros Fix

How I've longed for a decent Gyros place close to home... and Gyros Fix has come to the calling. It was a Sunday night when I rocked up and the place was packed with customers silently dining.... which in other words indicates that the food is so good, there's no time to talk....

I opted for their Lamb Gyros with tomato, onion, tzatziki and chips wrapped in a pita bread. The sauce... the quality of lamb... and even their chips... ahh it was just that good. I can't even string sentences to describe how happy I was... there were definite moments of pure appreciation as I demolished my gyros...

My wife chose the chicken gyros (essentially the same as mine except with chicken)... but the chicken had some drier hard bits which made is slightly less plesant to eat. Though overall still a fantastic gyros...

Every time we decide to do dessert and there's a Nutella option... my wife insists on trying it.... and that's exactly what happen. To finish off we got their Nutella on Pita Bread. They went for the strawberries instead of banana as the additional fruit pairing. With nothing but chocolate and a smile on my wife's face... she wolfed this down with delight.

For parking, you can borrow the gym's parking across the road or there's some street parking down the side. It's usually not too difficult at night as there's not much going on in the area.

Personally for me... a great lunch would be a gyros here and then a short walk across the road for some Papas Patisserie for dessert.

This place definitely gets two thumbs from me.. their gyros is delicious and the service is fantastic.... what more can you ask for. I can't wait for a return visit.

I have to say, I prefer Gyros Fix much much more than Zeus :)
Wish this was opened when I went to high school up the road :)

About

I suddenly feel the tides turning. A yearn for something better in my life. I'm hoping for big changes in my career, maybe the touch of my first born and the ongoing rollercoaster of my marriage.

It feels important enough to dedicate a few minutes of my days to etch out how it is through my eyes... just so one day I can flick through and reminisce

Meet The Author

I've spent my whole life being the son my parents wanted me to be. I studied hard, went through the different levels of the school system and then I'm now 30. I married a beautiful girl, trying to pay off a mortgage, and have a bucket list of things I want to do which don't involve work.

I've always had a passion for blogging, photography, food, collecting aka organised hoarding and music and I can't think of any better moment to start documenting it...
