Great bagel and Coffee Co

After more shopping at Macquarie Centre I was determined to give this place a go. I was sold on the fact it had bagels... and they had a decent amount of diners inside. My wife did warn me that her last dining experience here was enough to conclude that I would not be impressed.... but knowing me I had to make that decision mistake for myself.

So I ordered their Pastrami Bagel -  NY Deli Pastrami, Pickled Cucumber, Fresh Tomato, Lettuce and Mustard. When the bagel came out my wife just snickered as I stared at it with disappointment. The size was awfully smaller than a burger. The other let downs was that bagel just didn't have that chewy bite to it, the pastrami was dry and the mustard was no where near enough. Overall I felt just ripped by this bad experience.

As a side I ordered some Curly Fries with Moroccan Salt... and some French Aioli dipping sauce. This was the highlight of the meal. The fries were a tad oily but tasted fantastic... and it only made it better with the aioli... oh aioli... is there anything you can't enhance...

Price wise, you're paying a lot more for a lot less. I understand bagels do cost more but what made it a rip off was the fact the bagels were no where as great as places like Brooklyn Bagel Boys or Brooklyn Hide.

I think Macquarie Centre has a lot to offer regarding food... and for me this place just doesn't cut it. I'd only recommend the curly fries if you really must visit...

About

I suddenly feel the tides turning. A yearn for something better in my life. I'm hoping for big changes in my career, maybe the touch of my first born and the ongoing rollercoaster of my marriage.

It feels important enough to dedicate a few minutes of my days to etch out how it is through my eyes... just so one day I can flick through and reminisce

Meet The Author

I've spent my whole life being the son my parents wanted me to be. I studied hard, went through the different levels of the school system and then I'm now 30. I married a beautiful girl, trying to pay off a mortgage, and have a bucket list of things I want to do which don't involve work.

I've always had a passion for blogging, photography, food, collecting aka organised hoarding and music and I can't think of any better moment to start documenting it...
