The Yeeros Shop

The day my diet fell apart ( a week and a half into it) I find myself here.. feeling guilty and excited as  I ordered a Lamb Yeeros, a side of small chips and a Greek salad to share with my wife. She barely touched the yeeros claiming she was full but manage to woof down half the chips and most of the salad.

I sit and slowly savoured the chips not knowing when I'll be revisiting this guilty pleasure. These chips bring back memories of my childhood. It's got that bad oil soaked taste about it with every bite. Also the serving size is quite large for a small.

Paired perfectly with the chips is their yeeros. I prefer lamb with all salads and a mixture of chilli and garlic sauce. Normally this is my go-to combination for yeeros and kebabs. What makes this yeeros stand out is the generous amount of meat they pack in it. Towards the end you'll find that there's more yeeros to bread ratio and you're left needing some utensils to complete the meal cleanly. To make it even more fitting for me, they aren't shy with the sauces either.

The greek salad was a lame salad of choice.. but my wife is still stuck in the phase of needing greens with every meal.

We didn't end up getting any drinks... not because we didn't want to but what I noticed was that the place is cash only and I had just $20 in my wallet. What place nowadays doesn't take cards? I know the answer... it's a lot... but cash only policies should be banned as society progresses forward towards cashless transactions.  I hate carrying cash and worse of all I hate looking for an ATM to cater for these places.

Other than that I have no gripes with this place. In fact I'd say this place is one of my favourite yeeros places to fall back on.... and I'm always craving it especially when I'm in the area... what you don't get is a nice sitting area with decore and an atmosphere to match like Victoria Yeeros down the road or Zeus in Drummoyne... but with quick service, great food and friendly staff... I know you will not be disappointed.

If you're not convinced by my entry to give this place a try... then let the constant customer base be a telling sign that this place is the real deal...

About

I suddenly feel the tides turning. A yearn for something better in my life. I'm hoping for big changes in my career, maybe the touch of my first born and the ongoing rollercoaster of my marriage.

It feels important enough to dedicate a few minutes of my days to etch out how it is through my eyes... just so one day I can flick through and reminisce

Meet The Author

I've spent my whole life being the son my parents wanted me to be. I studied hard, went through the different levels of the school system and then I'm now 30. I married a beautiful girl, trying to pay off a mortgage, and have a bucket list of things I want to do which don't involve work.

I've always had a passion for blogging, photography, food, collecting aka organised hoarding and music and I can't think of any better moment to start documenting it...
