Located in the Dixon Food Court... a place I haven't visited in years merely because my last association was related to a moment I saw a rat running across the floor. The food court is downstairs dingy dining at its finest....
The ramen I ordered was their Creamy Tonkatsu Ramen without egg and nori... which was only because these were add-ons to the ramen and not a given...
The service was nice, efficient and friendly. They weren't bombarded with customers like Gumshara is... and after my first taste I can see why.
The thick soup was definitely different... paired with the thick noodle.. it was just too intense... and you lose the element of eating a ramen... and get into some kind of thick gravy like noodle dish. The soup consistency was quite grainy as well... with sediments.... that just felt slightly off putting as I'm trying to spoon up the remaining "soup" from the bowl.
The meat was a nice texture and it was odd to have diced up raw onions in my ramen... it was definitely not something I'd expect... In the picture below I've already added a generous layer of sesame and chilli to my bowl....
I guess at the end of the day... it's whatever tickles your fancy... and for me... this place just doesn't do it... I'll save my dollars and walk down the road in Chinatown to Gumshara instead....
