Crispy Cluckers

Finally we get to try Crispy Cluckers. I've heard the word spread in the neighbourhood on this great Korean Fried Chicken joint just down the road but it never feels worth it to go only as a couple to try a massive serving of fried chicken. Fortunately for us my sister in law arrived and we made a meal of it.

It was a Thursday night and rather quiet. A few families gathered inside sharing their chicken and not really making much noise at all. We sat down and agreed that for three of us, a family pack was the way to go. Family pack A in particular. The service was polite and efficient. I was shocked at how friendly they were for an asian run joint....

We got started with 8 golden chicken wings paired with honey mustard dipping sauce and large chips paired with tomato sauce. Why oh why is this place so tight with their sauce. A tiny little serving between three people. We kept asking for more sauce but was a bit too shy to ask for more plates of sauce. At least he offered radish with our meal after he asked if we wanted it... they seem so scared of wasted food and sauce...

Then came a green salad. It was nice to have a taste of something other than a heart attack....

We opted for an extra $2 charge to have a mix and match... which we chose the original and hot & spicy. Sounds like we were at a KFC... The original tasted exactly like the golden wings (which was such a shame because we had so much of the same thing) and the hot and spicy is the original smothered in their chilli sauce.

It was a decent meal though, but way too much food for 3 people. It could have easily fed 4-5 people comfortably... probably why they called it a family pack.. hmmmm

I did enjoy it but I prefer the atmosphere of eating Korean Fried Chicken in a pub better...

About

I suddenly feel the tides turning. A yearn for something better in my life. I'm hoping for big changes in my career, maybe the touch of my first born and the ongoing rollercoaster of my marriage.

It feels important enough to dedicate a few minutes of my days to etch out how it is through my eyes... just so one day I can flick through and reminisce

I've spent my whole life being the son my parents wanted me to be. I studied hard, went through the different levels of the school system and then I'm now 30. I married a beautiful girl, trying to pay off a mortgage, and have a bucket list of things I want to do which don't involve work.

I've always had a passion for blogging, photography, food, collecting aka organised hoarding and music and I can't think of any better moment to start documenting it...
