Bao Dao Taiwanese Kitchen

We decided to try this Taiwanese restaurant we saw the night before...it was completely packed in Eastwood... but we tried the one in Chatswood instead...

We got there a bit after opening time for lunch and we sat down and browsed through the menu. When we decided to order we realised that a lot of things on the menu were not available to order.. kinda disappointing but it was too late to leave now. So next best option was to just try what we can to tie us over for lunch...

You order and pay at the counter and they bring the food out to you. The staff seemed to be more occupied talking to each other than serving. A smile wouldn't hurt either.

We started off with the Pork sauce on Rice. The food here seem like vey staple food. Very basic flavours. Nothing that really wowed me.

Next dish was the Bao Dao Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. It had plenty of flavours. The noodle was very heavy and thick. The meat had an interesting texture and taste. It was soft and a nice mixture of meat with fat. The spicy part was non existent.

We also shared the Crispy Pork Chop meal.... what we did realise from all this was that the pictures looked so much better than the actual food that came out...

We topped it all off with their Wintermelon drink. It was the highlight of the meal.

I've had the Taiwanese style chicken that's been popping up and causing a needed disturbance in the market.... but these main meals really leaves me wishing I spent my dollars elsewhere.

About

I suddenly feel the tides turning. A yearn for something better in my life. I'm hoping for big changes in my career, maybe the touch of my first born and the ongoing rollercoaster of my marriage.

It feels important enough to dedicate a few minutes of my days to etch out how it is through my eyes... just so one day I can flick through and reminisce

Meet The Author

I've spent my whole life being the son my parents wanted me to be. I studied hard, went through the different levels of the school system and then I'm now 30. I married a beautiful girl, trying to pay off a mortgage, and have a bucket list of things I want to do which don't involve work.

I've always had a passion for blogging, photography, food, collecting aka organised hoarding and music and I can't think of any better moment to start documenting it...
