Tehwaru

As a "food blogger" I rarely double dip restaurants for the sake of trying more venues... and a sign of a good restaurant is when I go back twice to eat the same dish. Recently that has only been Dainty Dumpling and now Tehwaru. Firstly Tehwaru has the advantage of being close to home for me and secondly it's played well into my laziness/convenience factors.

WifeOfSnackingBear discovers one of her new craving is their Sweet Garlic and Chilli Chicken. It's not the crunchiest chicken nor the juiciest chicken but that sauce packs a powerful punch of amazing flavours that make these bite size chicken pieces so moreish. We had enough to take home and believe or not, the flavours only intensified overnight.

Th waitress recommended a common crowd pleaser in their restaurant which was the Stir Fried Black Bean Noodle. I love that the noodles were handmade which was obvious from the first bite. A lovely nice bounce to the texture. The authentic, delicate and subtle flavours of the black bean might be a bit of an acquired taste... which I grew to enjoy as the night went on.

The noodles are served super long.. so included with the dish was a pair of scissors to help make serving easier.

To wash down the meal, I chose Cass as my poison. It was a easy-to-drink and refreshing beer that paired well with foods which embraced strong flavours.

You might notice when you walk in, most of their diners will be Korean... which is usually a good indication as there's already a few other Korean restaurants on the strip. Their service was top notch... very friendly and helpful. Unlike other Korean restaurants you will not be pampered with unlimited side dishes.

I now understand why on the weekends, this place is packed with customers and their neighbours not so much. Definitely a place I'll be supporting again and again.

About

I suddenly feel the tides turning. A yearn for something better in my life. I'm hoping for big changes in my career, maybe the touch of my first born and the ongoing rollercoaster of my marriage.

It feels important enough to dedicate a few minutes of my days to etch out how it is through my eyes... just so one day I can flick through and reminisce

Meet The Author

I've spent my whole life being the son my parents wanted me to be. I studied hard, went through the different levels of the school system and then I'm now 30. I married a beautiful girl, trying to pay off a mortgage, and have a bucket list of things I want to do which don't involve work.

I've always had a passion for blogging, photography, food, collecting aka organised hoarding and music and I can't think of any better moment to start documenting it...
