Inlakesh

Inlakesh is a cafe, deli and grocer in one. They sell a large range of healthy and nutritious options and products that cater for dietary needs, intolerance and allergies. This provided for an entertaining browse pre-lunch before we made our way to the cafe counter.

The only thing that grabbed my attention was their Bloody Mary Burger - Grass Fed Beef with Spicy Celery, Onion Tomato Salsa, Tabasco served with Crispy Sweet Potato Chips. After I placed my order there felt like a serious long delay between that and when my food finally arrived. At least I know they didn't just pop my food in a microwave.

The burger had just enough salsa to pair with their salty but juicy patty... though the flavours overall felt slightly unbalanced. The sweet potato chips with mayo was quickly demolished as it was the standout on the plate.

It came out plated beautifully and even with my mediocre photography skills I still managed to pull off a half decent Instagram post.

I love their modern chic decor. There's self serve water around the side of the store. There wasn't much seating room as it attracted quite a fair few diners. It's located in Macquarie Center right in front of the Coles.

Personally I'm quite indifferent about the burger... WifeofSnackingBear enjoyed it and thinks I'm a bit harsh but I personally thought for $17 it could have been more of well balanced dish.
