It's too hard to visit a Asics store and not come out with something....
My most recent edition to the family is another pair of Runsparks. For most, the iconic Tigers are Mexico 66 but for me, the Golden Spark has got to be one of my favourite styles in their range.
The side profile isn't really that different. Though you may notice there's more heel cushion to make it feel like you're walking on clouds.
As usual the logos are inside the sole and on the tongue and sometimes even on the bottom of the shoe itself.
The most eye catching part of the shoe has to be the split tongue construction. I know many that look at it and just don't get it. It looks too weird. I suggest trying it on as this style makes for an easy slip on and slip off sneaker without fumbling with laces. It also allows for tighter lace tying and a more comfortable fit overall.
The Solyte technology built into the shoe means it's more durable, comfortable and most importantly it's so light as they claim.
I love that I don't need to break them in.... just slip them on for those longer walks, light jogs or just because...
