My love of chilli sauces is widely known among family and friends and this is the reason my sister loves to purchase me sauces when she's away on trips. Her latest adventure was in Byron Bay and she opted not to purchase the typical Byron Bay Chilli range but found me something from Byron Steve. (Very thankful!)
I know nothing about this brand... and thats a plus... Big commercial brands are overrated and it's time to start supporting the fresh, local produces and get their names out there. The label is simple, no ingredients labelled either. The skull and crossbones is enough reason for me to get excited and try it.
I found my excuse the very next night I got this and paired it with some chicken and noodles. The Toughie Pants Sauce was very mild... well for me... but that didn't stop me and my wife from drenching our chicken in it. I liked the tang taste in it... It made the food feel alive... though I slightly craved for more burn...
I'll need to have a better taste of it as I tried the sauce pictured below first... and that left a stinging feeling (thumbs up from me) and really numbed the tastebuds.
I personally preferred the chillier sauce. It tasted fantastic and had a very nice kick with it. Without much knowledge of it, I'd think it was their Hellish Relish from the website. Though I'm sure a quick email to Steve and Jed would clarify things.
A quick thanks to whomever threw in the chillier sauce on the house for my sister to bring back to me. Much obliged!
