After a verbal recommendation by my sister I decided to give this place a go with my friends... well the truth is.. we wanted to eat fried chicken and it was closed so we went here instead as it was two doors down...
Majority of us opted for Bento boxes. It was around 9pm on a Sunday night and the place still had a few people inside. Majority of the restaurants in this area were closed.
The service was very prompt and polite. Though it's a Japanese restaurant the people who own and work there were Korean.
Majority of the decor was very average but the wall of Polaroids was a nice touch and seemed to really impress the girls that night.
My wife ordered the Karage Chicken... The chicken was nice... Not too much batter and nicely drenched in sauce... not so much so that it was soggy either....
This is a picture of my friends order. The Bento boxes (non deluxe) were this size and sets you back around $14-17 per box. It came with your rice, salad, your meat of choice and a few slices of fruit.
I ordered the Unagi (Eel)...I did like that each Bento box was paired with a bowl of Miso.
My friend ordered the Okonomiyaki... it was suppose to be beef flavoured but she spent the night wondering where the beef was... It looked overly doughy...
Lastly my other friend's dish was very massive... lots of rice and topping. She managed to finish half of it and still have some to takeaway for lunch the next day.
The food overall was quite average. Not bad Japanese food for the area BUT a bit over priced for what it is...
