We were hankering for some pizza, after a quick google search this was the only thing close by and open so off to Meadowbank we went. Pizzeria Locale is tucked away amongst the tall high rise apartments of Meadowbank. Amongst it all is a central located beautiful greenery offering a relaxing garden courtyard where the restaurant resides.
So I chose their TNT (we dare you) - Hot Pepperoni, Spanish Chorizo, Red Onion and Habanero Chilli Sauce. To be honest, it was the chilli sauce that was the deciding factor. The dough was consistently cooked offering a beautiful balance of crispiness and fluffiness. The topping was fair, not overly generous but evenly scattered so you never ended up with a slice that offered no toppings. The chilli kick was subtle but can vary due to chilli tolerance. Overall a decent pizza that I would be happy to eat again.
We paired our carb hit with a Prawn and Avocado Salad - King Prawn, Avocado and Baby Spinach with Chef's own dressing garnished with finely chopped Chives. It was a simple salad done right. Plenty of parmesan cheese where it counts and a hearty serving of fresh prawns and avocado to back it up.
On top of the great food was their top notch service - general friendly banter with a smile. The only issue around here might be the parking on offer.... quite a dense population with not as much parking options. Though once you find a space, you are sure to find many locals dining here and having a good meal.
