On regular occasions, we are more a tub ice-cream household. Stick ice-creams disappear too fast and its hard to cater for friends when they're over. On this occasion the purchase was impulsed and brought on by my wife. Mainly by her love/passion/obsession with salted caramel.
What I did notice was that in my recent travels to Europe they had the same ice-cream but marketed it as marc de champagne flavour. A more adult range because this is an ice-cream not targeted to children.
So the silver obviously represents the fact its their 25th anniversary. I love the package rebranding. It's even done down to the paddle pop stick.
The colour of the ice-cream is slightly off putting. It looks dull... as if they forgot to add food colouring to the ice-cream... umm where's my brown chocolate?
The outer shell was the salted caramel taste and the inner ice-cream was not a bad combination. All in all it was a decent attempt of something outside the box.
Thanks for making Magnums exciting again....
