We felt excited at the aspect of nice and simple Green Onion Pancake at home. It's one of those entrée dishes at restaurants that really either kick starts the meal or let's you know that it's going to be downhill from here.
So all you do is whack it in the freezer until your belly rumbles and take it out, a splash of cooking oil, chuck it in the frying pan and voilà... take it out when its golden brown.
I'm not sure I'm convinced that this is as good as the "nice and simple Roti" we got. That was actually decent. I think I have some left in the freezer, just enough to make a blog entry for next time.
The taste just wasn't there in this case. The fact it was frozen/pre-made probably had a massive element to it, or maybe I didn't char it enough... but it's something I'd definitely give a miss next time when I'm rummaging through the Asian grocers.
