I read about this place on an article listing 100 things you must try in Sydney. Their Lamb Kebab paired with Portuguese Burger Sauce made that list. So here I go again on my lunchtime adventures to explore.
I thought after the multiple popups of yeeros I no longer will find myself at a kebab joint. As you're approaching it, it looks no different to the next dingy kebab store. When you enter you're greeted with the dull sounds of Middle Eastern dance music and the decore is an unloved Turkish theme.
I placed my order. The man taking my order was nice enough. They even have Paypass for quick cashless payment.
I sat on the nearby stools that stared back out onto King Street. It was nice to dine and watch the world of hipsters pass by. There's no line out the door but they get a fair few works buying their lunch to go.
The lamb kebab with Portuguese Burger Sauce isn't on their menu but they were instantly aware of what I wanted when I asked for it... I was surprised at how decent this tasted. Not cheap or nasty like most. The sauce had a decent kick leaving my mouth tingling 5-10 minutes after I left the place. I should have ordered a baklava and Turkish tea... it would have really tied this whole meal together.
They even have their own personalised wet wipes...
I didn't try the rest of their menu but if the lamb kebab was anything to go by, I'd be pleasantly surprised...
